T206 Hall of Famer Baseball Cards, Baseball Memorabilia - Part 5 of 10

T206 baseball cards are my favorite piece of baseball memorabilia. My collection is still only about 40-50 cards but I have sprinkled in a couple of Hall of Famers. I think the T206 baseball card series is so appealing because of their antiquity. Due to age alone they have some inherent value. Baseball is a sport steeped in tradition and T206 cards are a great way to connect with the heritage of the game.

In my opinion holy trinity of T206 Hall of Famers consists of Ty Cobb, Cy Young and Walter Johnson. There are dozens of other HOFers but these are three absolute legends. Ty Cobb has 4 cards - green portrait, red portrait, bat off shoulder (shown) and bat on shoulder. Cy Young has 3 cards in the T206 set - portrait, bare hand and glove. Walter Johnson has two cards in the set - his portrait (essentially "The Big Train's" rookie card) and throwing.
